On-Premise Driver
The AF Driver facilitates communication between the IOTA VUE Cluster (back-end) and the OSIsoft PI System and PI Data Archive (source). This stateless driver does not maintain source connections or data caches, which is important for supporting distributed architectures.
Depending on the deployment build version, the AF Driver can support write-back to the source PI System and PI Data Archive. A single AF Driver service can support multiple connections to different PI Systems and PI Data Archives. The driver supports all PI System object types:
